haven't you complained incessantly about how completely awful the 2ms of input latency on the ps3 versions are? running/rendering the game remotely are going to introduce an awful lot more than that, even in the most ideal scenario (e.g., gaikai's server farms happen to be colocated in your closet).

Is Super Smash Brother's really going to be a competitive title at Evo? Was that just a joke? Is SSB really considered to have a competitive scene? It never seemed to be a game of any interest to me.

SSB scene is actually fairly big, believe it or not. Maybe not the size of capcom games, but they have enough presence that they have a huge annual tourny (essentially their EVO) called APEX (unfortunately, the last one was this year) in NJ around january/february. Both brawl and melee are played competitively, but brawl is considered an ass game and isn't really taken seriously, while melee is extremely competitive.

Brawl is kinda viewed much the same way as say... PS All stars, as in sure, it'll be played competitively sometimes, but its largely considered a party/gimmicky game not to be taken too seriously.

SSBM was voted into Evo as the 8th game this year as part of their donation drive. Pretty much, like 8-10 titles were chosen, and you voted with money. SSBM had the most monetary contributors, something in excess of 100k, while the second closest one, skull girls was around like 70k or something. Feel free to correct me on those numbers.

There is a pretty decent, dedicated SSB scene, both for Brawl and Melee still. As much shit as they get for being the bottom of the FGC totem pole, I respect how they've evolved those games over the years.

Precisely. U1 go-to until it's patched out. So that's 2 match ups to use U1 in <_< Viper and Ibuki.

Dude said he was able to get it to 70% rate with a little practice. Even if you fuck it up, Ibuki has to worry about it just plain ol' crossing up...
