Top 32 AE was really good though - just that top 8 was a bunch of blowouts.

Chrisg gonna get rolled~
His soul fists and doom missiles will block out the sun.
lol, chrisg will win.
lol, chrisg beat rayray with a jill/wesker/sentinel team last night. 3-2 rayray then 3-1 chrisg, lulz. I don't hate/mind watching him play anymore now that his play style has drastically changed. His legends of the hidden temple levelled up and so has his combos. Not like a few months ago when he had like 0 morrigan combos outside of abcd, and his zoning was pretty much only horizontal, full screen crap. I think he'll have something to counter champ's dorm.
lol Chris G dropped Elizabeth and picked up....
... wait for it...
Mitsuru ;o
Chris G was the original wesker/ryu. He only experiments with new teams when he gets bored. Not because he needed to level up
That actually sounds like a pretty good character for ChrisG, since fundamentals matter a lot more playing her than playing other characters (i.e. you don't get mixups for days like Chie/Akihiko/Yu/Yosuke/SLab do, most of her hits come from throws, baits, punishes and frame traps not actual mixups). He's gonna body a lot of people once he learns how to play her properly. MarlinPie is probably gonna make him rage if he's still playing Chie though, lol
Chie honestly doesn't seem so bad to me, I barely know anything about the game and can block many of her mixups on reaction. Akihiko kinda tears me up though, frame trapped to death...
She's extremely annoying to fight because Mitsuru's defensive options aren't very good against her, so you just get locked down in mixups all day until you block wrong. Her normals are also extremely fast, so they can stuff pretty much anything you ever try to hit her with when you're up close.
When you're far, a bunch of her buttons have good range and low-profile, so they go under Mitsuru's 5A/A Coups and you get counterhit when trying to poke her or get in. Her counter is also active extremely quickly and recovers pretty fast, so when you leave small gaps in your blockstrings for frame traps, she can DP them a lot more easily than other characters and get out for free on reaction if she knows what to look for.
Mitsuru generally wins by making people respect her options (since her mixups are pretty weak compared to everybody else), and it's really hard to do that to Chie. Some people think it's one of Mitsuru's worst matchups (along with Yosuke and Aigis), and after playing some really good Chies, I'm kind of inclined to agree, lol
I just meant in general, I still know crap about specific matchups since I have about an hour logged into the game and know one single Yu combo that isn't AAAAA
Mitsuru has bad matchups? Maybe 4.5-5.5 "bad"...
I need to learn the shadow lab matchup
Several characters can give her trouble, and she definitely has a few 4-6s. Given that this game only has a handful of 7-3s and nothing worse, I'd consider 4-6 a bad matchup
Don't get DP'ed or knocked downI need to learn the shadow lab matchup

Justin Wong @JWonggg
So... I am going to Season Beatings but I am getting there Saturday morning. Hope to see everyone there @gdlkEnt
Also, found it funny that welt was whining about the drop in talent since JWong wasn't going to be there. Sure, it's true, but when is the last time he won something that wasn't a straight up bullshit outside tourny? Serious question, I don't recall, has he won any mvc since he started taking it seriously again? I know he beat some scrubs up in teh first couple weeks with his new team but I don't remember outside of that. Not even top in 8 in either game at evo. kappa
@_@
He won BOTH tourneys at CEO and he won SBO >_>
