Actually did anyone else catch James MK trying real hard to reach out to the Cannons today? Best-case scenario is they act friendly for a week then BOOM Cannons put Injustice finals at 8am and all hell breaks loose.

Yeah, Bala's visa got revoked and he can't be allowed back in for a while.

But considering JP and China KOF is coming in force along with other Mexicans and CafeId, shit's going to get hype. I would die if Bernard takes the entire thing.

To get my leroy on and down talk players better then me, a bunch of pot monsters skipping out isn't a great loss.

Also, all of those people will be missed Shine. The most interesting AE matches are US vs. Asia and with basically 90% of the best EC AE players not going, it hurts it a lot.

Huh? Arturo is in pools he's going. I'm talking about Sanford and LI Joe.

As for hype US vs Asia matches, that was mostly Dieminion, PR Rog and Justin Wong.

Notable Players from Asia and who they lost to:

- Kazunoko, Lost to: Justin Wong and was eliminated by Justin Wong
- Mago, was beat by Dieminion
- MOV, was eliminated by Justin Wong
- Sako was beat by Min
- Uryo was eliminated by Dieminion
- Haitani was beaten by Eric Albino
- Fuudo was beaten by PR Rog Eliminated by Dieminion
- Xian was beaten by DRS Filipinoman
- Humanbomb was eliminated by PR Rog
- Xiaohai was beat by PR Rog

The rest of the players lost to other opponents from Asia..

Sanford and LI Joe didn't beat or eliminate a single player from Asia.

Warp is an old skooler and MK player. I don't expect people to know him, but he's another "big" name not going.

And it's not the fact that these people are pot monsters... they don't even take the tournament seriously when they go in the first place. It's more about the EC support for EVO going downhill since VxG. You can't just believe all of these well known faces of the FGC are just saying no to EVO for random reasons, EVO is still the biggest event that everyone shows up for.

Injustice is still kinda stiff, but flows much better than MK in my eyes, so it's a better watch to me. I hope there'll be 5 million substreams because I want to catch a little of everything, at any moment #streammonsterdreams

No worries Tohmane, I expect GODSGARDEN to be there streaming major asian matches, and then like 3 different EVO streams, a stream for anime and a stream for Marvel 2. There will be much to watch.

However the way it's looking I'll probably only tune into Day Two AE pools, Top 32 Marvel, KOF13, & Injustice.

Maybe Smash Finals.

That being said Evo is still far and away the biggest tourney of the year, so these people not attending doesn't make that big of deal end of the day.

Of those just dropping out this last day or so, I could really only see Dieminion or Sanford really having an effect on final results. The whole thing should still be hype as all hell. I'm more wondering what's leading to this, since they seem kind of intent on making a show of this right as brackets are being finalized.

This is true, I feel you on that. Dieminion is definitely a hit on EVO. Sanford not so much, but he was training up on UMvC3 as well as AE for EVO, so it's kinda a waste.

The brackets are fucked to hell, not quite sure what Tony Cannon was thinking, lol. Either way, it seriously looks like another Asian win for the major tournaments... only this time with very little resistance outside of EG crew. Dieminion will always be that bastion of resistance for the US when it comes to EVO, so definitely sad at that.

I'ma try and see the brightside of things, you might be right and it still turns out to be hype as fuck. Hopefully PR Rog can pull off another miracle and hang in there this year as well.

(P.S.: Yes I'm biased towards Asia for EVO, I'm tired of seeing them win every year, lmao.)
