EVO 2013: Who's banned for a week next?

South Florida FGC has a discussion going on about how they think EC is deliberately boycotting Evo due to it's WC bias. I don't care because I dont have the money to travel Evo this year but a lot of us are planning to go to The Fall Classic in September. Hopefully some of you BG folk make it out.

The Fall Classic needs to find a spot that can compete with Las Vegas in order to get people there, otherwise it's never going even half the numbers Evo has. Also flights from Japan and South Korea to Las Vegas are cheap in comparison.

So their boycotting a west coast biased tournament by going to a east coast biased one instead, that makes total sense.

Its funny because players like to beat other countries in this game but it seems like the thing Americans are competitive the most against are other Americans lol

My first ever stream match and I get facerolled by KDZ in marvel, lol. PR Rog's team is fair Kappa. I didn't even remember my wesker combos -.- Didn't even want to bother with Spencer since I have nothing other than call assist + zips right now and ABCD, since I'm very inconsistent with my combos with him still.

Don't think I'll be going back to the break... kinda pointless that I can't level up since A) no SF, and no one really interested in playing SF, and B) There wasn't casuals... at all. Like 3 matches of casuals and I was there before it all started. No reason to travel an hour to sit around and play 3 matches then go home...

They still were on flatscreen CRTs that lagged and played on PS3 as well -.-

DJ, if you and ben care about the SoFL FGC, I never got into the scene really unfortunately, but please please get everyone to take advantage of not only their proximity (Miami is 30 mins away from flippers) and the AMAZING venue at flippers. Every place I've been to so far as literally no parking, and the arcades were really meh compared to flippers, flippers is fucking amazing. 10x better than next level. GET THEM LAZY NIGGAS UP.

Been through it over a month + ago Shine. You really can't compete with Vegas for tournament locale, regardless of the tournament, which is why it moved from SoCal in the first place. Fall Classic also has an extra problem because LI Joe wants to set it up in a place that hasn't been touched before, so that removes ATL, Orlando, NY/NJ, and Chicago.

Nigga, HOW LONG have I been telling you? I even picked your ass up and took you out to get bodied on multiple occasions and you still never showed up on your own.

Thankfully CEO has everyone hungry again. We had a 50 person turnout last Thursday for Injustice, Marvel, SF, and KoF, and P4. Our scene is starting to get strong again and it's the best its been since 2009, especially talent wise. Green Ace, Marvelo, Flocker, Flash, and a few others has everyone leveling up in Marvel. We had a few P4 players in top 8, and only 2 in top 32 for Street Fighter @ CEO. We have a lot of good street fighter players but we're still trying to get to an elite level in that game.

Edit And I think we had a flippers player get 4th in injustice. he was the harley quinn player everyone was getting hype for.

Yeah, I know lol. Lack of car+Being extremely busy with school and work kinda sucked lol. I didn't even play SF for like 2 months sometime towards the end of the semester.... I didn't really pick up FGs again when I decided to go to ECT.

I've been here for 2 months now and I've been to more here than FL in the past year <_<; It's the car man.

I'm hype for street fighter and marvel right now. i have way too much fun watching marvel matches in person the game is too hype for me not to start playing at a competitive level. i'm dead set on running a magneto shell right now, but i'm still soul searching. right now i'm thinking something cookie cutter like mag/doom/ammy or mag/doom/sent

i almost feel like i have to play dante because green ace could teach me so much, but learning him and mag at the same time feels almost impossible

Yeah... I have dante on my team that's why I'm trying to put someone simple like Spencer or Wesker up front. I really want to play trish...I still spend most of my time messing around with dante because he's my favorite character. He's incredibly difficult to use. I really think Green Ace is the best dante though, so if you love Dante then he'd be an amazing resource. Maybe it's cuz we're not white, but I don't see how anyone can't get hype over some marvel. Shit is so fun.

I wasn't even nervous, I just have no idea how to play the game in neutral or anything. Also, my team just gets absolutely raped by wolverine especially with Doom beam. I didn't even play patient like I normally would because it took so long just to play my match that I just wanted to go home. I didn't even remember my wesker combos because I haven't played him in like 2 weeks now lol, that dante call during the combo should have been strange.

I tried to force the speed of the game against a team that is probably the best at dictating the speed of the match.
