back in my funcoland/gamestop days during the ps2 era, we had something like a 50% defective rate on their stuff, it was unbelievably bad -- even worse than madcatz, which was a hell of an accomplishment back then. they came out with an arcade stick about ten years ago (which iirc would make the VLX look compact by comparison) and i remember literally every single one of those things we sold came back busted. those things weren't cheap either.

if the rebranded stuff is anywhere near the old pelican line in terms of quality or reliability, it's no wonder they're in trouble.

They sponsored a bunch of mid/low tier players for no reason, their tag didn't relate to their product , and the players rarely thanked the sponsors in interviews.

I won't lie, I like the brobox controller they make. Its pretty much identical build quality to an official controller but is wired (anyone in this thread will attest to the value of that) and only 30 bucks.

Headphones they kept pushing were junk though.

Not lying when I say Triforce has the DL on AGE and Fanatiq. As of a few weeks ago, Fanatiq was caught trying to steal members of EMP, lol. People will know what's going on soon.

i don't do xbox but yeah i've always stuck with bluetooth for my PS3. i've had the same plantronics for like 5-6 years now, it's served me pretty well. handy to have just in case i ever need/want to use it for my phone as well (which is why i strayed away from the gaming-branded stuff when i was initially shopping around).
