The writing was full of deus ex machina, it felt like a D&D storyline where the DM is like "and yeah, this guy is BIGGER AND STRONGER THAN YOU AND ROCKS FALL EVERYONE DIES" ... i.e. it seemed very... forced. "And then bad stuff happens! And then more bad stuff happens! And the bad guys manage to pull off a super complicated plan flawlessly! And your hero has NO HOPE SO I SAID SO EVEN THOUGH YOU ROLLED A NATURAL TWENTY!"
Also, pretty poor attempt at a M Night Shyamalanlalanlanan moment. It was obvious that the chick was some sort of Bondian female villain - the camera lingering on her while Bane said the plan was going ahead perfectly, the bizarre jump from no-relationship to snuggling-next-to-fire...
Also the punchup scenes were boring.
Good stuff: Anne Hathaway. Gary Oldman. I kinda liked Bane, but he didn't *quite* get there. I have to admit to tearing up a little when Alfred was crying at the end just because it was Alfred crying and Michael Caine crying is just...
Jiggle was good though. He's pretty cute. If he's gonna take up the Batman mantle then he'll be miles ahead of I-need-to-smoke-more-Camels Bale.
ETA: yeah and the nuclear fallout thing was dumb. It was fucking snowing. And I bet wind was blowing, y'know, as it does.
