Once upon a time, I was trying to resist purchasing this fine game. Those days are past, my body is ready.
I still say this game will be more demanding than BF3.
Game and Premium already pre-ordered. I r ready.
“The highly-anticipated Battlefield 4 action starts with the Battlefield 4 Open Beta on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC slated for October 1, then the game lights up on October 29,” writes EA COO Peter Moore in a recent blog post.
The Beta, which will feature Conquest mode on the Siege of Shanghai multiplayer map, will launch exclusively for those who’ve pre-ordered the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition on Origin.com, who are Battlefield 3: Premium members, or who are registered owners of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition. However, the beta will open up to the public soon after, at a later date
Beta Starts Oct 1st for eligible players, 4th for everyone else. Pre-load is available now.
Were we supposed to receive an email from EA or anything? Pretty sure I'm eligible, but haven't taken a look at my Origin in a while.
Guess I'll take a look later
Preloaded for sure. Let's do this.
Nvidia's 331.40 Drivers for BF4 have been released. Will fix texture flickering issues.....supposedly.
First impression is pretty good. Running feels extremely slow to me and the squad perk system is kind of weird. Overall the game feels a lot slower compared to bf3 but that's not a bad thing.
Vehicles are sooooo much better to control it's going to be hard as fuck going back to bf3 while we wait for launch. Like literally, night and day difference for the better.
Game is absolutely gorgeous and I'm extremely happy my computer can run it on ultra without any sort of hiccups.
Forgot to add, you can actually chat with people after a match is over lol
Preloaded last night, will attempt to play tonight. After BF3's beta experience though, I'm not hopeful/expectant of anything.
Any xbros try the beta yet? Is it even available yet?
Well it is better than I expected, considering the BF3 beta was nearly unplayable with all the bugs and issues with control settings, etc. Performance seems good, but it stutters a lot.
Had a guy on the server I was on, painting targets. It was a little disconcerting that my RPG was able to lock onto a painted chopper, but maybe that's just turned on for the beta, who knows. A lot of textures were missing but I didn't update to the latest Radeon beta drivers either. I'll do that tonight before I give it another go.
