This is playing so laggy on my pc (gtx760) with the latest drivers. Still fun.

I love the vehicles, but the game feels very sluggish in terms of foot movement. I don't actually feel like I'm running for cover so much as jogging.
I do like that it's balanced for lean.
Hate air bursts.
Hate elevator campers.
Love squad function and the spawn screen.
Hate hit boxes.
It's an old beta so it's showing promise. Can't wait.
The latest beta Radeon drivers improve this game a LOT. The stutter was mostly gone tonight and all the textures looked much better and/or correct. It may have helped some with the feel of sluggishness to the running on foot, as I felt some of that sluggishness last night but it was mostly gone tonight after I updated drivers.
Kuronosan is right, fuck the Airburst. And elevator campers.
Loving the shit out of beta, cannot wait for the final product.
If I pre order now can I still get in? Or is that window gone?
Beta goes open tomorrow til the 15th, otherwise yes. I think.
Oh, nvm then.
Seems the beta is only 24 players on Xbox. Is that correct? Played last night and did not have any games with more.
360/PS3 versions of the game are still only 24 players, 64 is PC/PS4/XB1
was fairly unplayable due to screen lag, was running at 50fps just choppy.
if you can paint/lock with rpgs, then it seems they took some of the better parts of BC2 and merged with BF3 to make BF4 (good). It makes things like Kharg (a great map...if...) easier - especially if derp team OR low ranking team (Javelin was not accessible early).
Painting/locking with RPG's is insane, at the moment when someone launches an RPG at you, you don't get the constant beeping of missile away, you still get the acquiring target sound, this is most likely a bug because y'know beta.
but still, makes taking down Helo's with a two man team a complete joke.
also the stinger does fuck all damage, 4 missiles onto a HinD and it wasn't even disabled.
Glad I didn't preorder this game cause it's a mess. An explosive whoring mess. The occasional FPS drop and lag can be forgiven for being beta, but unless the explosives get tuned down I won't be buying this shit.
Constantly being instagibbed by all the explosive shit they appear to have handed out to all classes is just not a fun game to me.
It's cod.
Wait, it wasn't CoD in BF3?
Anyway, someone go over what makes this more than a glorified expansion pack from BF3? I hear graphics and graphics but fuck that; BF3 looked fine on a god-rig. What are some core changes that you've noticed in beta? Are the hitboxes any better?
I mean...have you been following the game at all? Destruction is way up, weather plays a roll on visibility etc, squad commanders and the perks that come with that, new maps ofc, what else do you want?
Both games are grounded in reality, were not getting giant changes to gameplay until we get big changes to warfare in the real world.
Because soldiers also have infinite lives and can spawn directly behind friendly soldiers in the real world. I could riff a list of shit that doesn't match up to real life in BF3/4.
Just played another round of siege of shithoi and I already hate this fucking map. Two squads sat up on the roof with people camping ladders and elevator while the rest of them rained explosives from above us.
Yeah fuck this game already.
Could play BF3 on Ultra with 50FPS.
Cant even get 7 on medium in BF4.
This better be because of the fact that its beta
Lol shit PCs. I have yet to see FPS lower than 40 with 780 @2560x1440. /lneek before me!!!
I'm running this on high at 1080 with a gtx560 ti, I'm pretty sure you guys can do better.
No, I haven't been, aside from following the thread. I was done with BF3 after about 3 months of solid play, and the graphics looked good enough when maxed that I was fine skipping the next if all they were going to do was make things look better.
With the camping that's in (an inevitability) beta and the (assuredly) over-domination by vehicles, plus the whole EA thing, I think I'll pass. I'll watch a few streams when it launches; see if I can find a good one.
