I'm about to get the bow. I heard more dlc is coming. I picked this up during black Friday and was not disappointed. The hell is the deal with explosives for everyone?

They wanted everyone to have a way to deal with vehicles in BF4 is the original logic I remember being floated when game came out. Make sure you get the assignment papers in the room with the Phantom Bow when you unlock it; they'll unlock a Bow-related assignment and I'm presuming it may possibly need completed in order to do stuff with the upcoming-DLC and additional assignments

Thats it for now; in the bow room on the back wall theres another door and another keypad and they've hinted there's more to come regarding the Phantom progress line in that door's regard in the future DLC

Where you can get raped by one random asshole that is a flying ace.

I am pretty decent at flying, but there is always some dick that for some reason can make his jet defy the physics in the game and make super sharp turns and reversals and doesnt miss a single round. At best, I can dodge them for a bit, but I can never shoot them down.

I fly in first person (some people argue third person) but the general idea is to slide in behind someone and start firing into their backside (a lil heard as directly behind them they'll have a small profile). When they go to turn to shake you, their profile increases and I usually use that opportunity to shoot into the top of their plane when their profile increases and finish them then.

As far as shaking someone else, it depends on whos on your tail. If its in a scrub room of Air Superiority, I just wing it and try and out fly them, maybe throw in a random braking and see if they fly past me. If you're in a Conquest room and the same dude on the other team has been in a jet racking up kills all game, they're likely not going to be shaken by normal twists and turns. I take it to the deck (fly very low to the ground) and start weaving among whatever I can (trees / buildings / cranes / etc) and hope I can get them to wreck into something while chasing me. Worst case scenario, I wreck myself and its only a suicide instead of them killing me. Maybe you both wreck, maybe even just he wrecks, but you got a decent shot if you can pull a good pilot down there or them reacting poorly to a random tree and clipping the ground, the tree, or the next obstacle after the tree.

You have to learn how to turn. I bind space to pitch up and then fly in third person. You'll know when you hit the right speed because your plane will turn right. Everything after that is practice.

After a day of that I was equal to all but the great pilots.

The sweet speed is about 308-315.

I know how to turn. I am either on foot or watching deadcam. They some how turn even sharper than what you should be able to do, like a 120 ish degree turn.

I know how to slow down and speed up for turning and manuvering, but some people just seem to defy what is possible. I need to get a video. I haven't played the game in ages.

They're binding keys to turn. It's physically impossible to turn sharper. After turning it's all about maneuvers.

Had the urge to play this again.

For some reason, I am stuck on the "joining server" part of getting into a match. I have tried everything under the sun from google searches.

Anyone having this issue or know how to amend it?

BF3 works fine, no problems. I have disabled firewall, ensured plugin is up to date and allowed. origin in game is disabled.
