It seems like most of the US's gold medals come from swimming (6 from swimming), while china is more varied. China has 3 from diving, 3 from weightlifting, and 3 from swimming.


In total, china has 7 medals from swimming (counting gold, silver and bronze). The US has 16 in swimming lol

So i go in to see male beach volleyball expecting to see the same kind of skimpy outfit wearing nonsense you see in female beach volleyball, and what i get is complete bullshit.

the camera shit sucked but man am I sick of hearing about how they should change the rules cuz she went to the olympics and put up a sub-par performance for her, and didn't make it

it's especially sad cuz this american team is leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else in the world right now... but not a single one of them are good enough that they'd have even made the 08 team

i.e. the only reason she got 4th overall with a huge step ob on floor, multiple checks on beam, etc. is that the competition is trash compared to most recent olympics

The point is she's still better than p much all the other countries' gymnasts. They should just STRAIGHT UP take the best scores, regardless of country. That way the person who wins really IS the best.
