Man, watching this thing on npcsp about the 96 women's gymnasts, I remember watching that entire thing (including the prelims days before), and honestly I don't know how anyone, especially any American, could have watched that and *not* become a lifelong gymnastics fan.

Olympic freestyle wrestling is officially the silliest sport I've ever seen. 2 min rounds, if nobody scores they pick 1 out of 4 balls out of a bin (2 for each competitor), if you get your ball picked you're put into a position that you'll pretty much automatically get a point and the round. Do 2 mins of stalling and hand grabbing again, hope your ball gets picked either the next round or the one after. Congrats, you just won an Olympic medal on pure luck.

Apparently all points aren't all equal either. If it's tied, whoever got the last point wins.
