Olympic freestyle wrestling is officially the silliest sport I've ever seen. 2 min rounds, if nobody scores they pick 1 out of 4 balls out of a bin (2 for each competitor), if you get your ball picked you're put into a position that you'll pretty much automatically get a point and the round. Do 2 mins of stalling and hand grabbing again, hope your ball gets picked either the next round or the one after. Congrats, you just won an Olympic medal on pure luck.

Apparently all points aren't all equal either. If it's tied, whoever got the last point wins.

Taekwondo seams to be an exception where they tend to be taller and look really staved so they could fit into their prefered weight

More commenting on the winning a medal by luck. Both guys have just as much a chance of scoring regardless of what position they start in. If you start out on the ground and escape you get 1 point, victory is yours! Take the back, reversal, pin etc. Trust me these guys know what they're doing regardless of what position they start from. And they're equally capable of scoring.

The advantage position puts the person with a hold around a single leg and with both knees on the ground. The other person has to be standing. All the person has to do is use the leverage they're given from the position and drive up and forward. Auto point.

Not that easy man. Don't get me wrong I'm all for sudden death both standing at the start and don't see the point of the current format. But it's definitely not a foregone conclusion.
