Its the same shit if it was me or for that matter anyone else, their life is no more important then someone else. This is all anyone is saying. a very large chunk of people do not mind if you are gay.

I really would like to see a stat on people who accept gay VS religion. I really feel more people accept gays over people who really follow their faith. I don't think everyone is out to get me. What I do think is that the only person who personally has my back is me. Now, if you feel the need to misconstrue that as everyone is out to get me, you are of course within your rights as the status quo to do so. I do not pander to the mainstream for acceptance. I am my own person regardless of the bigotry my community endures. The fact that there were attempts made to force me to answer a question only one of two ways regarding whether or not I thought hate crimes deserved a greater punishment than crimes against the majority is evidence enough of this.

You are incapable of seeing this from my point of view, which is okay. You folks are given quite a bit of privilege and instead of acknowledging that, you deny it. This was from the beginning a lesson in futility for me. I have transgendered and gay friends and I can guarantee if they heard someone trying to "represent" their community like the OP, they would be fucking disgusted and in real life they would quickly be dismissed as "that rachet girl" in their neighborhood.

When you take that arrogant, tactless stance to everyone who doesn't agree with you, then you're basically operating under your own agenda.

How are you gonna go around labeling folks as a specific group of people and not even know who the fuck they are on the internet? What is this Fox News forums?

Do I have anything against any races, genders or sexual orientations? None.

Rofl I had a "nice" conversation with the OP in pm's sadly and when I mentioned I let a few LBGT friends read the thread and they all said she was setting back LGBT rights by acting like a screaming five year old she replied back saying last pm tell your LGBT friends to stop pandering to the main stream. Also in OP's mind a premeditated hate crime is more vile then a premeditated crime. Go figure.

Well that's just silly. All crimes are not equal. And even if they were 2 crimes are clearly worse than 1.

Are people really trying to argue that x+y = x where y > 0? If murder is bad, and bigotry is bad, then murder and bigotry is clearly worse than just murder. It is absurd to claim that the motive for a crime doesn't matter, and that all crime is equal. By that logic, killing someone in self defense is just as bad as gunning down a random 5 year old just for the luls. This is a really terrible argument.

I dunno, maybe it's because I don't have to deal with a lot of that type of stuff here.
For being in the most redneck province, we really don't hear too much about someone being beaten up for being Gay/Bi/Les, or a shooting because a person was black/asian etc.
In fact, most of the racial crimes are just gang-related along the lines of some Asian was killed in a drive-by because of another Asian gang type thing.

I guess if I was surrounded by more hate crime~y type things, I'd have a different mindset.
