Redneck is not anywhere near the same as calling someone a n~ I won't even type it...The way the slang is used is a way to suggest total uneducated ignorance in their views. It is also used to describe where someone lives. There are other uses for the word, but I can't think of any that come close to a racial slur. Everything that word represents can be changed by the individual's actions. A redneck can choose to educate himself/herself etc.
