wow its amazing how many gimps are wanting these staves made on my server. price of HQ staves has quadrupled on the AH. Im happy for the woodworkers , make your gil now .

I logged on after the update JUST to sell my HQ staves after seeing the stupidly high price jump and will rebuy them when price is back down to make my prism deal. Price went from like 50-80k per to like 400-500k per. A couple mil profit for me because people are dumb. I love morons. That is all. This morning they appear to have fallen back down to under 100k again.

Overall a pretty solid staff, but still slightly worse than magians.

Slightly worse than magians with weather in effect AND paired with obi (by approximately 8% overall damage ), significantly worse without (i.e. no better than old HQ staves, aside from the INT+5 on all nukes).

It was a million on Bahamut to get it crafted yesterday. And you really want to have multiple people to do it. I had several people ask me to make them, but that recipe is a complete pain in the ass.

No, I have some friends who were charging a million gil (split both ways) to craft staves. They made several million gil yesterday.

Depends on your competition. I crafted them for free, but before that, people were crafting for 100k. I crafted for free. One person was shouting to craft for whatever price they the payer felt was fair when I left.

Early adapters always get screwed. Fortunately my Synergy skill was high enough to do my own staves and staves for some LS members (although I did need someone with woodworking skill in the party); if I couldn't do it myself and didn't have any friends who would help for free, I would have just waited a few days for the fervor to die down and get it at a reasonable price. People screwed themselves. (And no, I didn't take money for any of the staves I did.)

Your alignments don't have to be perfect - the furnace doesn't even have to be glowing and you can still get a success, since HQ makes no difference. If light/dark leak you're probably screwed, so I was just doing ice up over 30 first to force ice leak, then go do dark/light since if those alignments overshoot it's hard to fix. Once you get dark/light set you can't really fail anymore as long as you have enough time left to finish.

If you cancel or time out of synergy, you don't kise the ingredients, only the fewell you spent. That's why it's so easy, yet boring to level up, you can do it on one set of ingredients, just not accepting the synth completion.
