Wrist rests for a gaming setup?

Got my keyboard and general setup squared away, but the current bean bag rest that i'm using has started to suck over the years and is now like a loose whore. I can buy another one, but I'm wondering if there's any companies or anything like that that've developed a reputation for making bad-ass comfy wrist rests.

I type, play pc games and guitar basically 8~ hours a day average. This is pretty important.

The only one I'm aware of is this: http://store.razerzone.com/store/raz...ctID.169416600

However, to the best of my knowledge, gamers don't use wrist rests. If you want support, the actually effective options are A) improve your posture, and B) buy a sporting goods wrist wrap.

They aren't cheap, but Filco leather/milestone and I guess ducky rests are awesome, as are the custom wooden ones you can find on overclock.net.

50x better and tons of different configurations out there depending on your preference. My favorite is the microbead palm supports.

Is that the IMAK? I've thought about buying one or two of those for a while now.

    Eligible for prime!

    or http://www.amazon.com/Imak-Computer-...d_sbs_indust_3 not prime

    Which do you recommend?

I use this for my mouse and the aforementioned filco leather for my keyboard.

The wrist things look cool, as the angle/height of my keyboard hand is sometimes awkward and I get some pain in my forearm once in a while (since my keyboard is in the rounded corner of an L desk and not sraight on.). But I'm not sure which I'd get.

Just get carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists like I did and it won't matter anymore.

for future reference, it is completely unhelpful when you link a picture and then don't say what the fuck it is

Yeah this guy makes custom wooden wrist rests and I guess the type of wood and angle is supposedly really nice. I use the leather keyboard one and the bead one I posted for my mouse, but am super interested in a 2pack of those glove things. I didn't like the 2pack before, but here it is. Also, my hand measures a medium on their chart, but reviews say to go large if you're high-medium.

gonna go with the 1x imak, should cover everything. carpal tunnel surgery sounds pretty boss too but i'd much rather take care of my wrists first. fuck hospitals.

I'm gonna +1 the Filco leather rest, I've used a ton of gel rests before and hated most of them. I usually ended up going back to a keyboard w/ a plastic rest on it, but filco don't do that so I thought what the shit I'll just get the expensive wrist rest as well, and if it sucks so be it.

    BUT ITS FRIGGIN AWESOME.

It's completely fixed any soreness I used to get in my left hand and I'm gonna use it until I'm dead or they stop making them.

Did you settle on this thing or something else by them?

I've had the bean bag thing in that pic forever. I just bought the glove thing and its a little tight, a little weird to get used to, and I definitely noticed it slowing me down in games like LoL/Hon. Then again, the bean bag one always falls off my desk lol.

I use a "ultrathin" keyboard, so the bend on my wrist is almost non-existant, logitech DiNovo and Logitech Illuminated "Ultrathin", I don't do heavy FPS etc. though, but because of work most of my day is spent with one keyboard or the other for close to 30 years, no issues. I could never get used to wrist solutions etc. so I went for a thin keyboard instead. Of course, it sacrifices all the gaming keyboard functions etc. but maybe an alternative to consider?

Sorry meant OP, hadn't read thread in awhile and didn't realize he picked one of the imak gloves you linked. I grabbed the same little bean bag after you'd mentioned it awhile back and was interested in trying the glove. For what it's worth I think they make a non-skid bean bag, lol
