That alternate version gave me goosebumps.
Should of just got Samuel L Jackson to do the voice over for the trailer
"AND A MOTHER FUCKING METEOR IS IN THE SKY AND ITS GOING TO CRASH FUCKING SHIT UP"
But substantially less shitty now that the voice is gone.
i actually like the german version. its probably the way the language sounds.. i don't actually understand a word of it..
or if all else fails, can always dub it with Guile's theme
I appreciate that they used most of the same CGI characters from the original intro sequence, like the snarky Miqo'te is now a Bard, the little Lalafell THM is now a WHM, etc.
Are... are you implying that I shouldn't be posting unless I want to bitch about CGIonry or bitch about the bitching?Umm ok? It still doesn't change the fact the it's just a CGI trailer that everyone has been bitching about.
We already know that the graphics are going to be good/godly, so I don't really care much for a gameplay trailer. I'd rather have 10 minutes of continuous alpha/beta gameplay and/or some cold hard factual descriptions on how stuff works.
Wow, I knew I didn't like the voiceover in the original trailer, but I am surprised by how much more awesome that thing is o.O
Shows how much the details matter I guess.
Definitely not looking forward to a fully voiced FFXIV. If the Gridania intro CS taught me anything is that SE insists that Lalafells sound like comically voiced moppets despite some of them actually being kinda bad-ass and legitimately danger-I can't even finish that. Still, they could have done a better job.
omg the alternate trailer is amazing
I don't see what's so exciting about someone plastering the same fucking Inception theme that's been plastered onto every trailer in the known universe onto this particular trailer.
Music loses its impact for me once I've heard it a billion times in a billion different contexts.
Maybe he's never head the Inception theme. But either way it could be worse. They could have used
True. The overuse of Lux Aeterna is even more of a shame because Requiem was a great film (Inception was just good).
Weird idea but...
They could have the very final quest of 1.23 ( the one leading to world changes and time travel) actually "freeze" your character from that point onward.
So that when they're about to shut down 1.0, instead of clicking on a button, you experience the end of the world.
I'm saying so because it may turn out pretty silly to witness the cataclysm, being sent back in time and then, well... time for Caravan farm.
