Seems like the trailer is just in response to the negativity from the first one, so I don't think they're really expecting to increase hype substantially from one to the next, probably just more awareness at this point.

Gamescom is going to have to be a really big deal for FFXIV I think, hopefully they wont hold back too much until their anniversary later in the month, although its expected they won't show absolutely everything off the bat.

Well, I'm sure there will be a gameplay video coming up of ffxiv 2.0 soon enough, not like they can hide it forever and just show CG constantly (and or screenshots).

I'm looking forward to details on ffxiv 2.0 beta, as that will be one the major factors of who will be paying/playing 2.0

also, I'd be interested in details on any possible... changes to the current game, seeing as alot people/bots have Lv50 everything by now, and I saw a screenshot of some guy with over 900,000,000 gil... >.> (wtf)

I don't think people are going to be able to play it like they did at the Gamescom when FFXIV was initially revealed but there will be a live demo. Hopefully it's up to snuff and connected to one of their servers so we shit live.

What really bothers me is that the Facebook or the websites havnt even been updated with this new trailer. Some of the flood of information would have been perfect with a new SS or concept art every day or shit even every few days! As much as im looking forward to it all and anything new at this stage gets me really excited it really annoys me when they cant pull this stuff together in a proper fashion!

They're all on a summer vacation thing this week, so I think that's why we're getting "meh" updates on the forums and stuff.

It's already been hinted at alongside Ivalice. I'm pretty sure we won't forget about Dalamud anytime soon

It will have to be stopped somehow. If an object that size actually crashed into the planet it would surely destroy all life on it and turn it into a ball of molten rock for many thousands of years. But this is a game I suppose.

Oh, it could be shootin' out those towers, I guess. I just assumed it was blowing up, but I can see that as a possibility.

The problem I have with the crystal tower out of Dalamud theory is... didn't someone already say that somewhere in the game it's indicated that there's a crystal tower under mor dhona somewhere? I don't really care either way, I just happened to remember people mentioning that before this trailer.

Yep, some GC quests mention that or something I believe. I remember people talking about that too.
Personally, I don't think the thing it shoots out and the tower are the same. I know they appear after one another in the trailer, but for me they look quite different.

While it can change, 2.0 pdf specifically says "out of the ground" I believe.. not that it matters
