I hated this shit in college. Had a great professor, but his one flaw was that none of us had any fucking idea what our grades were like. School had mandatory midterm reports for students struggling, so at that point he had to come up with rough numbers, but still. For someone like me that really grinded my gears.

Had a couple of these. Having been an English major, it was all too common. "You've got to let your writing, like, take YOU where IT wants to go. You can't have a plan, man...". Also had a poetry professor who was certain that everything was about sex. Also had a science fiction film professor who was certain that everything was a phallic symbol. In fact, most of my perverted teacher experiences have been women... but I digress.
