It was a spoiler that was just kinda like an extra thing thrown in that was neat. It didn't really effect any story line elements. It'd be like saying, hey did you know stan lee is in the next upcoming marvel movie as a cameo? It's just kinda neat, but you kinda also should have realized it anyways.

eh we didn't realize it until the end, but I'm not huge into batman lore so wasn't thinking about it.
