So... when they are reporting "vehicle separated" etc, is there a 20min delay like most communication from mars? Does it touchdown at ~130am and we'll hear from it within 15-20 min, or do we confirm that it's down by 1:30?

I'm curious what you're expecting... do you think there's some dude with an HD camera chilling on the ground filming it? With 1800F going on outside the thing, there's not gonna be much filming until it lands and gets its systems online.

No, their could be a camera mounted to the landing vehicle? You're going fast, but you'd be looking at a martian surface. Don't know what else you could think I meant.

Right now its in a capsule with only a single radio antenna sticking out. it only just started changing telemetry modes
