I don't like Doctor Who so far, is it David Eccleston the 9th Doctor's fault? It's been 2 episodes

some of you seem to really like the show, is it just goofy monster of the week each time? or is there some over-arching mythology or conspiracy or nemesis?

I'm reminded of Supernatural filler-episodes hunting a windigo or some other weird fringe type monster, but they do eventually get back to hunting the yellow-eyed demon or some such, in the first few seasons

It is almost always monster of the week stuff with the occasional two parter episode(s). Eccleston is easily my least favourite Doctor though and most people agree. I'm not really a fan of that season in the slightest.

No more than there is in season 1. It's a monster of the week show.

You can see episodes grouped together in these lists, those are multi-parters. There's minor carry over shit (Billie Piper's boyfriend crops up in a few episodes, etc), but for the most part there's very little continuity.

well there is the bad wolf shit in the 9th doctor, but that just runs underneath the plot until the end of the season

Yeah it is pretty much just a self contained story in the series finale episodes. Same with the cracks and shit.
