Ragna is very different in CP, but he's actually much easier than in EX. I main him, let me know if you have any questions. I'm still not particularly great at anime games but fwiw at least locally I'm known as the guy who you don't want to let touch you because I have optimized combos that do a fuckton of damage.

also to follow up on this:

NA retail version is available today, digital version won't be on PSN until 4/1, however for those who want to wait another week the digital one is $5 less than retail, PS+ gets an additional $4.50 off on top of that, and then digital preorders get Kokonoe for free, so you're essentially saving $15 if you preorder through PSN this week.

Aksys did a very poor job explaining that yes you save $15 if you wait a week and preorder digital, but you also have to wait until May 27th to buy Terumi if you do this.

Is kokonoe included on disc, bundled with the online pass/terumi code, or a separate download code? Just picked my disc up on lunch and I didn't get a code on my receipt so idk if they screwed up or what

Kokonoe is a separate $5 DLC. Kagura can also be bought, but he can be unlocked just by completing story mode. Terumi only comes with first-run physical discs, there will probably be a code in the case itself, if you do digital instead of physical he isn't for sale until 5/27, so your options are pay $50 + $5 for retail disc and get all characters, or pay $40 for free Kokonoe but then have to wait 2 months to pay $5 for Terumi.

edit: also note that I don't think Kokonoe is available for purchase until next Tuesday

Yeah the Terumi code was in the box. For some reason I was under the impression that everyone got Kokonoe for free, guess not!

So is this only on PS3 at the moment? Kagura seems fun to play, and I heard he's a charge too. Maybe it's time I pony up for a duel-modded stick, qanba I think it was? My frankenstick for 360 is dying and I've pretty much cannibalized every spare part from previous sticks.

Yeah, this won't see a 360 release. Dev claims it's due to DVD size limitations compared to Blu-Ray.

i'm kinda curious to try someone else out, but i have no clue who the hell to play. honestly don't think i've ever seriously attempted to play anyone outside of hakumen in any of the other games. judging by my initial impressions after fucking around in challenge mode, he seems to be pretty strong in CP, but i feel like i should branch out a bit.

Are Izayoi combos considered hard? Just picked up the game (and granted only have like a couple days of training mode on me) but having a lot of trouble being consistent with basic combos. Not sure if they're actually suppoed to be hard, or if my execution just sucks now from playing P4 for too long.

And like usual, these prices are just lethal. Like I'd love to have Asami Imai (Tsubaki) as my system voice again for CP, but at $5.99... My poor wallet.

Some of them are relatively hard, some of it is just that she's not a very good character with efficient, damage-dealing combos at the moment. I know the part where you end the combo in a launch(DP I think) teleport up on top, come down with whatever the downward air special is, and end in super is pretty tough. I would just learn a few basics, then wait until the May patch, she's getting changed pretty heavily and will likely have a bunch of totally different combos.

It's more the normal mode stock-building combos that are giving me trouble. Can't do the 236B > 214A > 2B > 623B > 214B > 623B combo if my life depended on it.

People in dustloop are saying 214A > 2B is a 1F link, which would explain a lot <_<
