Now that information is coming out that he has neo-nazi ties, i am wondering if he mistook them for Muslims (seeming more unlikely to me now) or if he just attacked the Sikhs cause they were dark enough to be targets for his white burdens.
Good point. I was convinced it was the former, but since he's got neo-Nazi ties, anyone not white is a potential target. Perhaps he targeted these because he knew they were peaceful? Perhaps he thought police response would be slower since they weren't white targets?
I dunno. I don't what goes on in the head of people like this.
I'm glad the shooter didn't get a chance to claim insanity. People like him don't deserve a trial.
sane!
Found this, but if i remember correctly most Neo-Nazi groups are opposed to any religion besides Christianity.
Current had a really good Documentary on the growing Islamophobia, i am guessing they are related?
but then again it could just have been because they were darkies.
this wouldn't have happened if the sikh had guns in church
Don't allow guns to be owned by known members of hate groups? Seems like a pretty simple solution. Tougher gun regulation and restrictions.
No, restricting rights (gun ownership) from people who engage in other protected speech (being in a hate group) would be a pretty obvious infringement on free speech.
What am I missing here?
That's a stretch. Not having guns does not prevent them from engaging in speech of any kind. What they can argue is a violation of second amendment rights and suspicious classification.
How can you not understand he's saying that you can't restrict gun rights from people just because they say things you don't like? ipso free speech etc.
Specifically, can any of you give a tangible argument on how banning, for example, the KKK from having guns, prevents them from speaking, protesting, and expressing themselves through media?
I think it's the concept that you're punishing them for exercising one right by taking away another right.
