    MacBook Pro bootcamped ffxi

I've been running XI and XIV on a newer model MacBook Pro in bootcamped Win 7 and I'm having an issue with the Mac dropping the network. I'll go through the "diagnose network connection" deal and it will run fine after it resolves whatever it resolves. This will generally happen an hour or so after I've entered Bootcamp. I don't have to be running XI, either. Does this happen to anyone else?

    Thanks in advance

You have the latest bootcamp driver pack installed for your system I presume? I never had that sort of issue when I bootcamp in WinXP, so I can't think of much that'd cause it roughly an hour or so after the fact if it's happening only when running Win7.

My experience with bootcamp Win7 on my Mac Mini 2011 is that the bootcamp drivers suck. Any network connectivity was brutally slow despite registering a 1Gbps connection. I ended up downloading the drivers for the specific network controller on Intel's website and that cleared up any issues I was having.

hmmm. the network runs fine and speed is what i can expect from my crappy Comcast starter package. I'll look into the drivers. Its just odd that it happens once and then its good (unless I go back into OSX and then back to Win again)

    Thank you both
