    You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    Aren't ACTs more important for the college process anyway? Those definitely had science questions (and that heathen math stuff).

    I think that is still really based on the field you're going into.

    SAT is Math, English and a Writing section onry.

    ACT has the Science/Lab component.

    Hm, every school I had applied for in the past wanted ACT scores - but that was back in 05. Some wanted SATs but it wasn't required. And at that time it didn't matter what my field was (lolAviation). Maybe it's for Liberal Arts schools mainly?

    I'm curious, will this apply to all religions equally if you follow Islam, Buddism, or even the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Or will this be another case of religious freedom only if you are the "correct" religion?

    This is the loophole that the article is talking about.

    Country swap! US christfags<->Pakistani christfags.
    Give the former group a legitimate reason to feel oppressed, gives the latter group a welcome break from said oppression.

    Personally, I'd find both parts of the bill infuriating if it wasn't for the potential loophole: no specific religion is mentionned.
    So, I'm just waiting for the awesome student that refuses to accept the Nine Worlds weren't created from the corpse of a giant and routinely prays to Surtur in school.

    Seriously, this has got to be some long term master plan to just saturate the country with stupid so some amount has a chance to go unchallenged. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if it came out that they were all working together to overwhelm the Supreme Court or some shit. -_-

    Used to be generally ACT was preferred in the midwest and SAT on the coasts, but that was 15 years ago.

    Indeed. If someone wants to make up their own religion, they should be able to under the law. Even if that doesn't fly, someone could still present some sort of loophole in a lesser-known religion, like Wicca or even something lol-worthy like Satanism, and get out of education.

    The only good part about this passing is the inevitable rush of smart-asses looking to exploit every loophole they can find. I eagerly await this.

    Satanism is awesome and nothing like devil-worshipping. That's Luciferism. I could absolutely dig satanism since its all about self-worth and putting your own needs above others.

    i dated a card-carrying member of the church of satan for about 6 months after my first divorce. so much fun in the sack, but oh my gawd, the drama. she was an interesting person, to say the least. never seen a distinction between satanism/luciferism, in fact that's the first time i've heard the term. themoreyouknow.jpg

    Sounds awfully like the brand of Christianity popular in the political sphere.
