LCBO actually has a really excellent recipe collection. LCBO. Site also gives suggestions of wine and such to go with the meal (tax dollars hard at work bitches).

Liquor Control Board of Ontario, for the yanks wondering wtf.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

^ This. However, I will say that if you are learning, go out and get yourself a standard Betty Crocker cookbook. Sometimes the best recipes are the simple ones and it can be tricky figuring out which of the 2million recipes on how to make one thing on the internets is going to be good.

Also, men knowing how to grill is the sex. Learn that shit. Start messing with bbq sauces n' such.

Crock pots are definitely the bomb when you want to be lazy. Get some meat, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, you've got a stew going.
    Spoiler: show

No man alive doesn't know how to BBQ though. Shits ingrained in our bones. No need to even bring it up.

although sad, it's not true. i've seen people seriously destroy some good cuts of steak or pork.

Whatever AllRecipes doesn't have, I just go to Google for.
I don't like allrecipes because half the time it's "get a packet mix and a piece of meat and stir together" type shit. Fuck that. epicurious is at least a bunch of pro tested recipes that come from magazines.

I'm doing the same thing. Use this, it's amazing:

I've made the mac & cheese and french bread pizza, both easy but really quick and cheap dinner ideas. I'm making the dragon noodles tonight; someone who made it before told me that it tastes like pad thai.

This is how french onion dip is made in my home, and how it will always be made in my home.

(Spitting on a bum on your way out is optional.)

Some of the best comfort food is made from random-ass shit. Just ask anyone from the southern US. Hell, adding salad dressing and soup mixes to sour cream is one of the most reliable dip recipes ever created, for one, and that's simple as piss.

You don't always have to go all-out to create something that tastes good. Shit, you're discounting the experimentation that actually goes into making delicious food with sometimes absurd ingredients. And if you've got a hard-on about discouraging artificial shit, a lot of those spice packets contain actual spices in exact allocations that can be a great bit of convenience for people without a full spice rack.

In short: both types of cooking are acceptable in this world. If you think one isn't, go fuck yourself.
Easy for you to say when you live in the US and can BUY the shit they're talking about. Most of those recipes are USELESS to me because we don't have Fatty McFattsville Fatty Onion Packet Soup on our shelves. And frankly I'm glad of that.

But I mean seriously when a brownie recipe (which I found on allrecipes) says

    1) get Fatty McFattsville Brownie Mix
    2) prepare according to instructions

you seriously have to wonder what the fuck is wrong with people
