Having been cheated on and told about it by her best friend(who I then dated for three years afterwards) I would want someone to tell me. I've never cheated on someone, never will. If things are that bad that I'm considering cheating, I end it. Immediately. That being said I've been the third party(albeit unknowingly) and once I found out I was not ok with it and never got with the girl again.

If both parties know ahead of time that one person is in a relationship then they're both in the wrong.
