you're probably referring to this.
edit: btw the 2 wotg trailer-exclusive tracks are both on the OST plus

god XI's music is so so good, thanks for the jog down memory lane guys.
The PC version plays (renamed)MP3's of the game music right?
I know that the few times I booted the game up on my PS2 the difference in music quality was incredible.
just got this in an e-mail

I'm thinking the concert isn't quite sold out, yet.
Maybe if they'd announced it last year I could have planned a trip to Cali. Here's to hoping there's a CD or 2 released from this.
i guess its a bit harder to sell out in a country where the fanbase, even if they amounted to a sizable number, are spread out across such a large area.
Bleh, I think I have to go to this considering it's so close... It's going to be a giant nostalgia bomb.
P.S. The hell? Wilco is opening? https://commerce.cpsma.berkeley.edu/...ropDown=2012:9
To this day I still remember this shit when I first installed the game. Seemed so out of place I laughed for a good couple minutes.
If this thing were in Seattle, I would have bought tickets instantly. I simply don't know anyone in California so it is much harder for me to make a trip there. Would still absolutely love to go.
Depends.
The FF concert I went to in PA was sold out, and the FF concert in IL in a few months was sold out in a day.
But since this is soley just XI music.. and I love FF music, and XI.. I wouldnt go. They play most of these songs on the FF tour; they should have made this one different and make it a day event with XI compeitions, etc.
What if it was nearer to you , say Chicago or Columbus? I know if this was in Dallas I would have bought my tickets day 1. But California? Gonna take a little more to get me to drive halfway across the continent than pretty music.
Eh, depends.
I havent seen the pricing or what else will be going on there. If the tickets were reasonably priced i'd go if it was in normal driving distance of 1~3hrs.
Im a swag whore, so if they made it a big event with lots of stuffs to do/buy/see, id go 5hrs or so out of my way for it.
Nothing would be worth getting on a plane for however. The only reason I went to E3 in the past was because I got to do it for my job. I cant really picture spending that kind of money/time for anything.
I just think the normal FF music tour blows this one out of the water, and covers a lot of the songs theyll play here, along with more variety.
IDK.
yeah i was referring specifically to FFXI.
Final Fantasy as a series itself doesn't just have a sizeable number of people that can be counted as its fanbase. For that, its more like throngs (who are probably more rabid since they haven't faced Tanaka-level disillusionment)
i'd also factor in the point that those fans aren't already paying like $12 a month on the franchise.
This is close enough that I really should consider going. How much are tickets around, again?
SE says 50~85 and 150 for VIP
I'll be buying a ticket come next paycheck :3
In case anyone's still interested, all ticket prices except for VIP have been halved.
Ug seriously.... damnit... I decided against it because gas would have been too much.
Take BART if you can, it's like 10 minutes away from the hall!
