It is very time intensive to develop a card game due to balance issues, so I definitely see where he is coming from. I think if they could copy a game they already have (triple triad, tetra master) and then allow you to upgrade cards, trade in for points that could work. Sounds Like Yoshi-P wants their own card game and is waiting for the right one to be suggested, which probably is ultimately for the best.

Haha I loved that stupid barrel card game in Port Jeuno while waiting for limbus. That cant have taken that long to implement.

I didn't even know there were minigames to be played in FFXI. Perhaps their problem there is that they didn't really advertise it...

Tetra Master would have done well if SE implemented it into the actual game for all the time sinks we had to wait on lol

They originally thought Tetra master would hold its own subscription base. Like, I can pay for XI and get Tetra for free, or I can pay solely for Tetra.

Pretty much. I was so hype to play it but then realized that not only could you not play in game but you needed a separate POL account if you wanted to play while logged into XI. lol

Reinhearts trans just said crystal tower will be at launch/is intended for people that are Lv50 to do at launch. This is at least some good news

only "minigames" i knew of in ffxi were the casino gambler whatever roll X number get X amount gil etc etc people shouting near the fountain in lower jeuno >.>

My question is how much of the current level 50 content will still be available? I feel like with crystal tower there will be more than enough content to keep people occupied, providing all the current stuff is kept. If they scrap everything then idk.

I remember hearing Darkhold is out but that's to be expected. AV/CC? Strongholds? Primals? Their achievements will be gone, but will the items still be obtainable?

They could just release Triple Triad on smart phones too, honestly (or Vita/3DS too I guess). For afew bucks, I sure as fuck would buy. I mean, it'd be great to have in-game, but as long as they don't POL Tetra Master it up again there's probably no wrong way to go here.

Although I can see the appeal of having people to play with right there, versus whatever alternatives over 3-4G and Wi-Fi.

AV/CC are there to stay as far as I know, just without speedrun=loot and thus speed run achievements also being gone.

Ifrit(hard) and moogle, who knows.

Garuda and Extreme will obviously still be around, whether they drop loot or not (Garuda) we don't know.

It's a work in progress... It's a shitty emulation of the current 2.0 menus though. Also need to find those fonts. Time to head home.

Where did they confirm that Darkhold is going? Considering there are AF pieces in there I seriously doubt that's the case lol.
Edit: It's also part of the relic quest which is confirmed to stay as it is so Darkhold isn't going anywhere.
