They won every qualifying game for the 2010 wc.

They won every game in group play for the 2010 wc.

Their loss in the final came on a goal with 3 minutes left in overtime, while playing a man down.

They won 9/10 games in qualifying for Euro 2012, only losing when they had already won their qualifying group.

They then flopped in group play, their 1 single down period in the last half a decade +.

They went 9-0-1 in 2014 qualifying.

And oh by the way, that draw... they could have lost every game after it and still won their qualifying group. They won all 3 instead, including 8-1 against Hungary.

    So:

8-2-2 qualifying euro 2008, giving up 5 goals total
3-0 in brutal group, but knocked out in qf of euro 2008

8-0-0 in WC 2010 qualifying, gave up 2 goals total
Won all 3 in group, went to final, lost at end of overtime a man down in WC 2010 final
= 14-1-0 in the entire WC 2010 process

9-1-0 in qualifying euro 2012, 8 goals against, +29 goal differential
    0-3 in group, out

9-0-1 in qualifying wc 2014, 5 goals against, +29 goal differential

Yeah, that's pretty fucking dominant, even with the one 3-game losing streak.

    edit:

for completion's sake, that makes them 43-8-3 since the start of euro 2008 qualifying, with a goal differential around 100+

That's a better rate than ManU last year when they won the premier league by 11 points and had a 4 win + 1 draw lead with 1 game left.

Plow is right, for once xD.

So my predictions cuz predictions are fun because they never happen lol.

    Group A Brasil Cameroon
    Group B Spain Chile
Group C Colombia Cote d' Ivoire
    Group D Uruguay Italy
    Group E Ecuador France
    Group F Argentina Nigeria
    Group G Germany Portugal
    Group H Belgium Korea

Hardest group imo is G, cuz Ghana and Usa are in same level than Portugal.
Hot weather is gonna kill european teams in this tournament, i see a final Brasil-Argentina.

Couple of the stadiums up north are pretty much right on the equator, the farthest south is equivalent to like Texas latitude, I think.

I don't think many of the teams will have much trouble, though. It'll be the middle of summer in Europe at the time anyway.

Anyone watching the Galatasaray v Juventus game? Looks like the Detroit game this weekend =P Ok, not that bad, but there is a good amount of hail/snow covering the field.

EDIT: And it looks like they are leaving the pitch... damn.

For as far back as I can remember, the USA just can't catch a break at these draws; shitty group for them, but at least they're not Costa Rica.

I'm ok with Brazil's group. Mexico can be a pain sometimes, but won't offer a major threat, imo. Croatia and Cameroon are both meh.

On that Costa Rica note, 50 bucks says Chile leaves either Netherlands or Spain behind.

    le double post, but whatever.

I'm just really glad that the only way Brazil will play Germany (or Argentina, but lolthem) is if both make it to the finals.

Either Spain/Netherlands/Chile in second round will be cool >.>.

No way this cup is leaving South America.

Don't let this "Brazilian winter" nonsense fool you. Porto Alegre and Curitiba are pretty much the only places where it can get cold. Also São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro on an off day, but nothing extreme. This place is hot all the time.

Shittiest places to play will be Cuiabá and Manaus, FOR SURE.

Salvador, Recife, Natal and Fortaleza will be hot, no doubt about it.

Brasília will be dry. Belo Horizonte is not worth mentioning, even though I just did.

Ouch lol. I don't think he's really gotten a fair shake since heerenveen mostly because he tries too hard, and his ability to get back into position is under-appreciated.

He was lucky as fuck for an American anyway, though. I know of at least 3 kids in my city that never got any chance whatsoever due to the politics of ODP that would have had real shots if project 40 had started like 5 years earlier.

Moyes finally got the boot from United. Giggsy taking over on an temp basis till they can find a replacement. Figured it had to come sooner than later he lost the players months ago and never could regain any confidence from them. Next manager probably has a much better shot at winning than Moyes did in all fairness. Taking over after Ferguson was a tall task for anyone.

Fucking idiot casual watchers who only watch the World Cup to say they watch it are losing their mind over this.

    http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2014/...world-cup-2014

If they actually paid attention they would know Donovan has been playing terribly for a while.

what do my hardcore USMNT fans think of this? I didn't think it was a shock as his place has been up in the air for a while. even if he hasn't been playing well do you still miss his experience?

Eh, I don't like it. I acknowledge Donovan's lost a step, isn't as sharp as he used to be, can be mentally weak at times, but he could still make an impact at the WC coming off the bench. Jurgen's son, Jonahtan is a real class act https://twitter.com/AlexDenning10/st...098944/photo/1

UEFA final today, my money is on Real but should be a good game. Ronaldo will get at least one goal because he's kinda good.

If you're a fan and not watching this final you're missing out. It's been a great game, really didn't think RM was going to get the equalizer before they ran out of time but man was it awesome. Bonus soccer incoming!
