Should I make a new thread to put this stuff in? I could just start it with the EPL post and then post about the others as I do them, and Maya can do the Italian leagues and anybody that wants to can do some other stuff, or add more epl teams or whatever.

You guys are just completely misunderstanding me, people are looking for teams they can follow and see games of here in the U.S., those leagues just aren't shown here. I'm not trying to imply they're bad leagues or don't deserve attention or anything. There's a lot of people that are interested in soccer in the U.S. that have never seen Messi play outside a World Cup.

la Liga takes a lot of flack because they have 2 superteams and only a couple of other teams that contend with them much (hence la Liga BBVA = barcelona beating various amateurs)

but yes, Barcelona and Real Madrid are pretty much always among the best teams in the world

Atletico was pretty damn good, Valencia always has the potential and clubs like Athletic Bilbao has the characteristic + a handful of awesome players.

There is a huge economic gap between the rest but nevertheless, Serie A, La Liga and EPL will always be attention-worthy and pretty damn fun.

Sadly, seems like Atletico is losing the quality this year. Costa, gone. Arda, on the way, Courtois, gone.

Yeah, otherwise they'll get lost/forgotten in this mega 2012 thread that BG fills in with everyhing that's kicked. What you posted is an awesome guide for any American looking into soccer. I'll cover Italy.

I mean, every league is like that. A couple power houses and then everyone else who is hoping to have a great year and possibly contend or get close. You mostly watch leagues to follow a team and then watch Champions to see who the best of the best are.

La Liga is Real Madrid and FC Barca.
Bundesliga is FC Bayern and that's about it now. Borussia has lost too many people since they took the title a few years ago, and 2 of them TO Bayern.
EPL is Man City and Man U and then whoever of the next group has a great year. (Liverpool last year, Chelsea usually near the top. EPL is a bit more competitive though.

The other thing, is when a team does jump up to the top, they lose their superstars. Borussia lost goetze and Lewandowski, Tottenham lost Bale/Modric, etc.
