They could learn a thing or two from American football regarding challenges. Disallowing a good goal like that is terrible and has a huge impact.

They finally added that did-the-ball-cross-the-line technology. Should be able to review an offside call/non-call that leads to a goal.

Well it took them a long time to embrace goal line technology so hopefully in the near future they will have some kind of tech to track player position and ball position and it will be able to tell if a player was offsides via some kind of light or signal.

I think reviews of disallowed goals would work as long as you give up something in the process. In american football when you challenge you give up a timeout so maybe in soccer you give up a substitution?

That's how I would envision it as well. Losing a sub is a big deal, so you'd only get challenges on things the coach really feels confident about.

Of course they would rather have a gol, but the review system doesn't automatically grant them a gol, it's a review. Your whole argument is based on this specific circumstance where we know they were legit gols. What if there was a review before from Cameroon that would've lead to some other outcome?
