Trying to make sense of this one. If we lose against Germany by one goal, and Ghana wins by one goal, what's the next tiebreaker?

Obviously if Germany or Ghana wins by more than one then the above is correct, but I would expect that the next tiebreaker would be head-to-head, and we beat Ghana head-to-head.

My bad, I rushed and oversimplified that case.
The next tiebreaker is "goals for", without including the goals taken... that one is in the US' favour as well (4 goals to Ghana's 3). So, yeah, slight advantage to US in that case, I'll edit.

At any rate, the US' position is very good, a tie or better against Germany guarantees a place in the round of 16 and even a defeat would leave them with a good chance to go through.

Next tiebreaker is total goals scored, and we're up by one on Ghana. If that is tied, the next tiebreak is points in the games between the teams involved, and the US advances due to having beaten Ghana and gotten the 3 points.
