I really loved how I could run out, spray & pray with SMG's or low delay shotgun for headshots, let them wear down my shield, phasewalk back to cover or do the above by phasewalking behind them where they weren't watching

I did try playthroughs with roland but it wasn't as fun for me, more of a challenge this time :)

I did, so I can rediscover how much I suck at FPSes. Haven't played a proper one since Doom 3. Didn't really enjoy that very much, because I sucked. I used to be okay at Quake 2/3 so hopefully I can rediscover my golden years.

Quake and Doom are much more twitch style FPS. You don't really see those anymore other then UT.

my problem isn't the steering/navigating stealth techniques and whatnot, it's aiming with an analog stick without sliding past the point I want it to. Mouse is so much more steady

playing on console is like aiming a gun with a steering wheel on a sailboat

Oh okay. I was really good at Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but I guess that's a twitch style one too given it uses one of the Quake engines.

purolator lamed once again and didn't even try delivery due to buzzer code not being on the address, however they had my number.

ah well, they indicated the need for "address correction" after I had left to do errands and head to work anyway. Was hoping for an unlikely 9am delivery so I could play a couple hours before I left. Staying at the gf's tonight, picking up Broderlands 2 tomorrow at the depot
