I hope it does well but I'm fairly certain Ant-Man is going to bomb. Avengers 2 is going to make a zillion bucks though so I don't think marvel will care too much.

The Ant-man trailer was so boring that the standout line was Rudd asking if it was too late to change the name. Did they even name/show the villain? Felt like there was no driving force behind why he'd be Ant-man in the first place.

In other words, if Ant-Man is terrible (which I actually think it'll do well) it may affect future "rural" properties like Dr. Strange or Inhumans. It may not. I'm just saying this year is a year where Marvel needs to deliver. It's not like other movies are going to suck, but people would probably be less likely to see a movie of a remote character if this fails. That's all I'm saying.

You heard it folks, being disappointed with a lackluster trailer is unreasonable. It's a superhero movie. One can reasonably expect good guy, bad guy, and why they're fighting from the trailer(s). My point was that this particular trailer was boring, not that the movie is going to suck.

The leading theory is that he is under the control of Scarlet Witch. There is also a scene in the trailer with Black Widow where she is an situation that she cannot control. It's being rumored that Scarlet forces each member of the base team to revisit traumatic moments in their life and/or their greatest fears.

What? Dr. Strange is set already. Inhumans is also set. Marvel Studios is so far into money & popularity right now they could release whatever they want, have it be a flop, and still have the clout to continue to release whatever they want.

They don't need to deliver at all, they did this already when it counted (All of Phase 1). Guardians of the Galaxy just recently taught Marvel movie goers that even the obscure in Marvel is a potential hit and worth seeing as well. Ant-Man will do just fine and is guaranteed seats even if it's sub-par (which it won't be).
