Quite frankly if Spiderman DOES show up in an Avengers movie I would hope the majority of people would know the origin story well enough by now that they could just skip it, and just have him show up. You can even have Tony make some smartass remark about how its about time he showed up or whatever.

Realistic doesn't bother me so much as it so much being just black leather or whatever. And arguably this started back with the X-Men movies.
