I'm on the same train as others who've said Ultron didn't seem that threatening. When all the trailers showed Cap's broken shield and a bunch of Avengers bloodied and on the ground, I thought we were in for some real shit. Come to find it was just a vision that Scarlet Witch manipulated Stark into seeing? Not cool, I felt totally gypped. Curious to if that was some kind of foreshadowing and they bring that back for Infinity War or if it was just bogus shit meant to screw with Stark's mind.

Well MCU is geared towards all audiences so it comes with the downside that you know at the end of the movie everyone is going to be fine and it's hard to treat any villain seriously. It's interesting how fed up Joss Whedon is with Marvel and he's been airing lots of dirty laundry recently. Apparently he was very pissed with Coulson coming back from the dead

Isn't he the executive producer of that show though? I'm not saying in anyway I understand the hierarchy but still his opinions and judgement should have weighed a bit more on that.

edit: and I walk into these movies knowing they gear it towards a younger demo looking to see heroes live to fight another day. Add in the age old secret recipe: No proven dead body, no proven dead.

I did this with my girlfriend, just told her the twist of Cap 2 that Hydra had infiltrated Shield for years, at the end of Cap 2 Shield is "disbanded" and that Hydra was AWOL, but Shield was operating in the background trying to rebuild on AoS.

Finally back. I saw it one and a half times, because the first theater I went to had a blackout halfway through the film, and they would not rewind the movie to the point of failure once power was back up, so fuck you I'll take the passes.

I was sad there was no Agents of SHIELD presence in the film. Also, in the opening sequence, starting with Thor jumping off the tower and swinging the I-beam, I got some bad flashbacks to Blade II CGI ninja warehouse fight. Last complaint is Ultron is just a little too Raymond Reddington. I mean, it fits, but it does make the character feel less unique.

The bit where Thor worries when Mjölnir budges a lil' bit for Steve was pretty funny. Mjölnir's all "Nah, just fuckin' witchu." Also, it's a shame Deadpool isn't MCU, because the "Good talk." "No it wasn't." guy was totally Hydra Bob. Hulkbuster fight was the best damn fight of the film.

Otherwise, absolutely fucking fantastic.

Hulk spitting out the tooth and stark saying "I'm sorry" in a whimper was amazing. That had to be the best part of the movie for me. Hulk felt like more of a threat than Ultron, actually


Also, for the entire movie. I wanted to see Coulson and company so damn badly. That whole Mystery female thing should have been Skye or atleast a mention of it. Peggy being it sucked. We know her already and Caps feelings about it. Needed to be a new chick

Should totaly see Captain America 2. The best marvel movie when it came out. Capt movies are the bridge between avengers movies. Its just how his storyline works. Capt 3 civil war will be like avengers 2.5. Just as much a game changer as avengers movies themselves.

Saw the movie today - fuckin fantastic. Cannot wait to watch it again with Blu Ray extras.

So glad they made Hawkeye a bawce in this film considering his role in the last one.
