Yeah, this is correct. Hyperloop concept was basically Pods travelling at near sonic speeds in a vacuum. Major drawback was to create a vacuum in such a large distance.
Also why it was estimated to be cheaper in Mars since air density is super low and they only needed tracks.
This happens a lot with Tesla. I’ve even told some friends who were thinking about buying to wait until end of year because they usually slash prices to meet their delivery numbers. The last time people were this upset was when the Performance Model 3 had an upgrade option for $5000 that included bigger brakes, rotors, lowered suspension and a spoiler. Towards the end of 2018 they dropped the price $5000 and made those upgrades standard. People that bought the upgrade were pretty pissed to the point that Tesla had to make it right by either offering Supercharging for life or a $5,000 refund.
I've been burned by sudden sales, myself, and it's always felt bad when they refused to honor the difference. Which just translates to me never doing business with them again.
Maybe it's just my commie ass talking, but kinda feel like some kind of regulation relative to costs and time lapsed for refunds or compensations should be mandated when sales start. Missing out on $100 when I bought my art tablet was one thing. Folks losing thousands on a vehicle is another.
I know best buy canada has a price guarantee thing, although it falls in line with refund policy. If price drops within 30 days, you can get the difference back. But I mean, you have a 30 days to refund the item as well. So even if there was no price guarantee, just return the product then rebuy at the new sale price.
sounds like my ex wife
Well speaking of price drops all vehicles had their prices lowered. Model X plaid which was 138k is now down to 119k. The performance model 3 is now 53k which puts it under the MSRP limit to get the new tax credit.
Model 3 starting at $36,490 after tax credit is suddenly a quite good deal again. One of the cheaper EVs out there now.
Although I do see that on cars.com the cheapest Chevy Bolts are now under 20k now that they have their tax credits restored. Not bad for a new, 259 mi range EV.
next thing yall gonna be having an electric stove on top of your tesla batteries and be in the garage to cook all ur food on
Someone isn't happy they aren't accepted into the pompous party.

Tesla recalling 362k+ vehicles that are equipped with Full Self Drive because its software may be unsafe around intersections and unsafe in general.
The recall will be dealt with via OTA software updates.
Elon announced in a joint press conference with Newsome that he's moving tesla back to California lol
The "Tesla HQ" was already "home" (in Texas), but it seems likely that whatever Texas tax break they received for moving is probably tapped out so he's bringing the HQ back to where the highest concentration of software engineer talent in the world is.
