But did y'all hear about Toyota and other cars? This stuff is to be expected. You just hate Elon.

No gas pedal lol. But seriously, only 500 were delivered based on early estimates. Still a huge fuck up that makes it seem like they were slapping shit together at the last minute as per usual crazy Elon timetable demands.

The sad thing is that it’s closer to 20%. The email went out at 11:40pm last night and a second email went out to you if you were let go. A lot of people don’t check emails before getting to work and they showed up only to find their badge to access the building stopped working.

Apparently Tesla's latest FSD update is curbing all the rims.

A lot of the layoffs coming from team behind the $25k EV they were working on because "not feasible". Meanwhile they spit out the Cybertruck lol and are putting effort into cybertaxis or some shit....so Tesla has nothing coming down the pipeline for the next few years at all apparently.

Tesla recalling every CyberTruck over accelerator pedal issue.

    https://arstechnica.com/cars/2024/04...r-pedal-cover/

Anyone taking bets on 'real aluminum pedals vs. shitload of glue' for the fix?

Oh yeah, forgot...Tesla having shareholders vote on 1) Moving state of incorporation to Texas and 2) Giving Musk back his $58bil bonus package. Wild, after laying off more than 10% of the workforce.

I'm confident he merits the 58B they're offering. Considering that 10% equates to roughly 14,000 individuals, it implies his value is akin to the collective worth of over 14,000 people earning 4 Million each annually.

Yeah, I really didn't expect anything but a ghetto fix. Some glue and a rivet sounds on brand.

They've sold less than 4000 so far, it's a p.small recall. Just funny it has to happen at all.

    https://techcrunch.com/2024/04/19/te...r-pedal-stuck/

    Taken from Reddit:

    High level facts:

They used an adhesive to keep the accelerator pedal on, not hardware
They were having a hard time getting the pedal on, so they used a LUBRICANT to get it on as part of an "unauthorized" change
They've made less than 4,000 Cybertrucks, bringing their average production to less than 30 per day
    That's fucking insane

Over $100k for the top spec with options, cheapest with no options is just under $60k

Back when I was looking at getting an EV after moving to CA I contemplated a Tesla, Musk wasn't "that" fucking insane yet but I already hated the guy and his cult of personality but figured if the car was right price and decent then w/e. Looked up a chunk of reviews and holy shit the QA for Model 3's and other Tesla's were just absolute dog shit. Panels not fitted properly, the fact that no knobs and everything on a single screen, paint jobs being complete shit, etc etc.

Literally the only thing going for Tesla is their charging network.

Model S when it came out was great. Really didn't see these problems as production was low and slow. X came out and you started to see some cracks in the QA for assembly. 3 is when it started to really come tumbling down, which coincides also with Musk completely removing the mask and showing us what he really is.
