I just saw this. IMO he's being a little child who throws a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. If they move the factory to Texas then what happens when there is a Shelter in Place order for a Hurricane? Is he going to threaten to sue the county and then move? Also I believe Texas has anti-union laws as well so there's that. I actually liked what Elon was doing but with this and the stuff over the past year (Pedo diver, the PR stunt with ventilators, etc) I just don't know what to feel...
His factory in Fremont isn't a union shop (Elon fought successfully to repel an organizing campaign a few years ago there)
I miss the days when hyperloops, innovating space travel and revolutionizing the auto-industry were all we heard from and about Elon.
Didn't someone figure out it means Kyle?

And he opened up the factory today. The tweet does the rest of the talking https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/...805221891?s=19
lol, like he gets to pick who gets arrested
My dream after leaving the military was to work for spaceX, a shining beacon in the storm of corporate greed and excess.... and then I started doing hella research into it, and I was like... this sounds horrible. And then Elon in the last 3 years (albeit was probably the entire time he's been rich) went off his god damn rocker and is clearly a fuck face.
Fuck Elon. Him pushing the whole "quarantine is fascism" rhetoric and downplaying the pandemic lets you know he only gives a shit about making money over the safety of his employees. I know, earth shattering news for a CEO, but the internet seems to put this guy on a pedestal for whatever reason.
It's funny seeing local news Facebook posts here in Houston regarding him possibly choosing Texas to move to. It's a mix of "we love our oil, keep that nonsense in Cali!" "He'll bring them Cali politics and rent here" with "I'll take a job, Elon!" It would help the economy, but in the end he just wants a state with views just as retarded as he is. The tax thing helps too.

Elon says he's will to fuck over employee's unemployment benefits if they don't return to work by placing them on unpaid leave.
Workers at Tesla have been told their unemployment benefits may be suspended if they refuse to return to work.
In an email sent to employees announcing the factory would reopen, workers were told: “If you do not feel comfortable coming into work, you can stay home and will be on unpaid leave. Choosing not to report to work may eliminate or reduce your eligibility for unemployment depending on your state’s unemployment agency.”
A Tesla worker at the Fremont plant who chose to remain anonymous said: “They’re trying intimidation and threatening tactics, saying if you don’t show up there’s no more unemployment. I will not be there, as well as a number of other people, because it’s still shelter-in-place. Until Alameda county health officer Dr Erica Pan says otherwise, I won’t be there.”
Workers have reported they had yet to start receiving unemployment benefits because of slow processing times. California had reportedly processed only one out of every eight unemployment claims made in March 2020. About 10,000 people are employed at the Tesla Fremont plant.
A second Tesla employee said: “They’ve said I will be removed from furloughed status and not be able to collect. But many of us have not collected at all.
“I actually started isolation a week before Tesla shut down and received nothing except for the two weeks Tesla paid us. But I’ve been out of work since 13 March.”
Yeah it's a fucked position to put workers in between the boss and the county government.
Can it be guillotine time yet?

Name has been changed to X Æ A-Xii to conform to Californian law.
Going back to the whole fight with Alameda county, in all honesty it was a PR move by Elon/Tesla. They were already going to move production outside of a California for many reasons and Elon saw it as an opportunity to gain support from groups that didn’t even have Tesla on their radar along with some people that probably didn’t like Tesla. Elon sided aggressively with Texas and their plans to reopen, hitting on all of the talking points about Freedom and gained a lot of support from those groups. It’s a smart PR move but also makes him look bad depending on where you stand on the Covid situation.
There's no evidence they are leaving the Fremont plant is there?
It would cost the company less money to manufacture in states like Texas. That and Tesla’s would finally be able to have better paint jobs as well due to not having to conform to CA OSHA rules lol. But seriously it is mostly about the cost of doing business and Texas makes sense from a money standpoint. Plus Texas is a bigger Truck market though I am not sure how many Texans would give up their diesel trucks for a cyber truck.
