Musk/Tesla pushed ahead with building a factory in Berlin, Germany without securing a building permit or an environmental review.

LOL why do people even take delivery if the gaps are that bad? They don't have to accept it and ask for a new build. Also the paint is going to always be thin and soft because the cars are painted at Freemont and there are California OSHA laws that affect the painting process that doesn't allow for the paint to be as good cars built out of state/country. It will be interesting to see how Model Y's built in Giga Austin will have their paint compared to Freemont.

Yeah i've read a lot of people just turning away 3-5 cars before they finally accepted one so not sure, but it's hilarious to see the QA on some of them

Broke: Tesla is worth more than Toyota, VW, BYD, Daimler, and GM combined
Woke: Elon Musk is worth more than Toyota

Just buy one, they hold value like crazy. The absolute cheapest Model 3 within 500 miles of me on Cars.com has 65k miles on it, listed for $37,999

For a car that MSRPd for like 48k.

Don't worry, I'm regretting not buying more. Damn me and my wanting to ensure my initial portfolio was diverse between multiple companies and not going all in on one company lol.

$7500 credit for new EV purchased after Dec. 31st 2021 is in the reconciliation bill, +$2500 if made in America, +$2500 if made in a union factory. $8k for Teslas, LEAF, $12500 for Bolt and maybe a couple others.

Unclear if there are still MSRP caps per vehicle or income caps.

edit: Mach-e mustang is assembled in Mexico nvm

That means you could get a brand new, 259-mile range Chevy Bolt for under $13,000 after tax credit (if the cars.com prices I'm seeing today are still around come January).

Is it still a tax credit(if you have to pay 10k you'll not have to pay) or is it an actual rebate like solar for your house?

    edited: deduction to credit

It's a non-refundable tax credit, so you have to have that much federal tax liability for it to fully help.

(deductions reduce your taxable income, credits reduce you tax owed)
