Hmm, guess I'll go with Cleric then. I keep getting Toughness and Vitality mixed up for some reason.

Other games are fucking you up son.
Haha, don't remind me xD
Though yeah, I'll gear up in Cleric then.
I fucking love my setup with full Clerics. There is perhaps better hybridized builds (decent damage + heals/supports/tankiness), but I fucking love just how much survivability I have with this set. Still get a lot of Power so can do okay damage, and it's extremely hard to die to... well, just about anything really. A build with decent precision (+ healing) is nice too though, we can get a lot of traits that give buffs on crits, and with Altruistic Healing trait you get healed with every boon you apply to yourself or allies (though stacking duration+ does not heal you, intensity stacks do). I believe Pro uses that build (+ shout support) and it's sexy as hell too.
I did pick up a full set of masterwork and have noticed a bit of a difference with my Greatsword damage. Just wish Draconic wasn't so pricey for me. I'd lose over half my money buying one piece ATM.
Until you get 2 shot by a thf who knows how to press his buttons in order properly!but I fucking love just how much survivability I have with this set
I really don't understand all your /cry about that thf setup. in sPvP yesterday, a ls buddy went with it and yes, he was able to kill me a few times in 2-3 seconds. that happend when I either wasn't paying attention or was already busy fighting someone else. every single other time, I popped traps (I play tough/cond rng) around me as soon as I saw him approaching and kept my stun breaker ready. from then on, it was an endurance fight and was decided by who got help inc. sooner. honestly, mesmers are way more annoying/confusing. or guardians. I usually skip them because it would take me the entire match time to get them down, if ever. not that killing people gives you that many points anyway.
Here is why you don't find thf's a problem.(I play tough/cond rng)
Also, he literally did get 2 shot by a THF in wvw, it was a joke.
They don't do 12k when I'm above 50% HP so it wasn't really a two shot.![]()
breaking news, vitality always increases effective hp more than toughness, stacking pure toughness still considered to be a bad idea, general population still refusing to learn basic game mechanics, more at 11
srsly though
srsly
Spoiler: show
But that's not true at all, especially on a class with a large amount of focus on healing like Guardian. I'd love to hear you try and back up that claim though.
Yeah I got 19-20k hp naked. I don't need/want more hp. Gimme that sweet toughness.
I just noticed this post (and that it was never answered)... but, no, support builds/roles are not really looked down upon or anything. In fact, a few more would be welcome on most worlds, I'm sure. When you have to stand at a door or a wall with a ram or a golem (and the rest of the zerg), the more AOE healing, projectile reflection/absorption, and push/pull control skills there are around that one spot the better.
sorry for being lazy, but whats the best weapons and stats for leveling a mesmer?
My guardian is at 15k HP and I rarely die more then once in a tourney. Altruistic healing is a broken ability, it really needs a cap on how many people it can proc off of.
Early game you are gonna feel weak as hell no matter what you do. I enjoy GS + Pistol/Sword personally, but you have to be comfortable in avoiding hits with the latter. Grab the skill that lowers illusion skill cooldowns asap, the regen trait is nice too. Other than that you can really go where you like, I did power since +10 per level is huge early on. Once you hit 40 you'll probably want to go for a crit = bleed build and stacking precision/cond damage though.
It's so ridiculous in WvW. Can get thousands of HP per tick of Empower during zergs, it's pretty much a guaranteed full heal. I really love that trait line, if I'm not in a group I can slap on the meditation = heal trait instead of and recover over 2k HP when using Smite Condition (16 sec cooldown heyo) and or Judge's Intervention.
guildie gave the same advice so Ill run with that, cheers
edit: nvm
Haha, I approve. Shame it gives power instead of healing. Spec wells and laugh at all those piddly fools attempting to kill you.
