Aren't you specing wells? I told you before you hit level 10 that was the spec that was 100% bug free.

D/D + Staff, 20 Power 20 Prec, 20 Toughness and 10... Vitality or Death Shroud traits, forget which, whichever gives Transfusion. Don't have any traits that help Wells do I generally run with 2 of them.
Yeah well it's abilities that are bugged. Plague Signet doesn't take conditions off allies at all. Signet of Spite and Corrupt Boon have a habit of not going off if you're moving. That's like an entire spec line that's bugged.
...yes it does.Plague Signet doesn't take conditions off allies at all.
I haven't been on necro for a week so I'll have to take your word for it, but for at least a month and half it didn't. If they fixed it, it was fixed the last patch. Known bug for a very long time. It would transfer the conditions to the necromancer without taking the conditions off your allies. Which is arguably the most useless thing in the world.
Definitely not as useful as it could be, but would still provide its primary function. Never bothered seeing if the underwater one worked properly mostly 'cause I haven't gone into death shroud underwater since I initially unlocked the skills, but if that one doesn't do it either it may not be meant to act like a "Save Yourselves" type deal and may just be meant to copy nearby conditions to shove onto enemies.
Yeah maybe it's not supposed to literally take the condition, rather copy it to you so can then blast your foe with it with the signets active ability. A lot shittier than it should be, but weh. I'm fairly sure it does work properly though, I have it set underwater and Shiyo said it was eating her poison lastnight.
Probably fixed then. Only took about 2 months `~'
You're both right and wrong.
(from the bug thread)
Working as intended:
- (NB0021) Utility: Plague Signet: only removes the first condition, the others are just copied. (Like Deathly Swarm and Gathering Plague)
Also lol@ one of the most balanced classes in the game being considered the most broken. You have 2 kind of shitty, but not really even that bad, faults. 1) you teleport through rocks sometimes and 2) you cant use the dodge roll clone shit while in costume for 10mins. I might need to get out my violin.
Necro is really fucking good, even with the bugs it's plagued by. You're completely delusional if you think otherwise.
Nobody said necro wasn't a viable class, balance is different than strength. Every day I tell people who complain about dagger thieves to just reroll necro, because necro rolls thieves (that dont use pistol). The problem with necro, despite how strong it can be, is there is no choice in the class because the trait lines are all fucking over the place.
Mesmer has traits that literlaly do NOTHING, it has ONE grandmaster trait that does anything as well. Ele has 1 complete garbage trait line that does nothing at all.
Pretty much every class has infinite utilities/traits that someone who's played the game for more than 5 secs can figure out suck.
Necro has only one grandmaster that's even arguably good, and a handful of others that are worth shit. One of Necro's passives is so bad that it helps the enemy lmao
Mesmer is literally different forms of DPS, it has pretty bad support outside of Time Warp (which is admittedly broken as fuck), though I have heard of some random heal bomb spec someone came up with. Necro is largely the same but has supporting conditions (weakness, chill) on top of that as well as being able to do stuff like draw conditions off allies. I do agree that it's a little behind Mesmer still despite that, but as far as how many viable ways to play it has I feel like Necro is just as "balanced" in that sense. But lets face it, almost every class in the game still needs some serious adjustments, shit like Thief and Ranger are so poorly put together compared to something like Warrior or Guardian it's kind of disgusting.
Necro isn't a bad class. I've never said it was and you'll never see me say it. But what you will see me say is that there are less ways to play it because of all the bugs it's plagued with. There's essentially only 2 viable builds. And by viable I mean everything else flat out doesn't work.
I mean, I'm here leveling up guardian and anytime I want I can swap to whatever skill I feel like and the skill will actually do as advertised. To a necro, that's some crazy shit.
Yeah my biggest complaint about Necro is how worthless half the utils seem to be. Mesmer has the same problem in a way but it at least has a few more viable options than Necro. Thief is probably the fucking worst though, I struggle to even pick 3 to use let alone swap stuff out as the situation demands it.
I'll vouch that most Mesmer traits are practically useless, outside of our Elite skills. Aside from one Twilight Arbor battle, I can pretty much run Mantra of Resolve, Signet of Domination, and Signet of Illusions + Time Warp in any group situation, and solo, I never need my elite skill. Portle Entre, for jumping puzzles, and then there is Moa Morph and Mass Invisibility for any situational stuff you may want to use them for. Most skills I've never needed to slot and don't really help out that much in the extreme situation I might actually want to use them.
