That's the hard part, this forum has a TON of asshats that would likely abuse it. However, if that's something we could get past then it would be extremely useful. Disabling it for the Spam section would be a good start though, lol.

if, IF, it was opt-in on your personal settings, "Check box to be notified when someone quotes/mentions you" then maybe, otherwise too abusable, imo

This one is impossible (or, afaik, a massive headache considering the board software.)

For certain posts, you would try to keep info in the OP updated, but like ignoring stickies, some people just jump to last unread posts (or just the last page.)
Some boards have a post sticky that's always the first post every page in a thread. These generally suck in my opinion.

What about a stickypost, that's tacked on as the LAST post in a thread. And so it's not confused, maybe make it a different shade than standard (like say a lighter gray in the case of blackend.)

(There's still the issue of the OP or a mod managing it, but that's a different problem for a different day.)

I don't know when or how it happened, but when browsing Spoiler/NSFW tags it no longer kicks me out of the thread on my iPad. It used to do it all the time when using Safari.
