And they've actually started, having stopped digital sales from thier official website a short time ago, though other retailers are still allowed.

It's not so simple for them to just add another server since it affects every other world. So I can see them being a bit careful now so they don't get more players than they can handle when most ppl will buy digital

Matches are lasting for 24 hours while the matchups are lasting much longer than that. I am guessing 3 days per matchup and 1 day per game.

They actually spoke about this potentially happening in an interview the other day. They knew their own pre-purchase numbers. They did not have any real method to track how many boxed or third party sold digital copies had actually been sold. Their numbers of course are well over the 1million copy mark as it stands. They have said that they would cease their own digital sales for a short time in order to let servers stabilize and so that the existing playerbase can continue to have a good gameplay experience. What Anet is doing is a very good thing. You can still purchase the game, and often times do so cheaper than you could do so via Anet. However, by limiting their own internal sales they now know the maximum number of new players that can be added and balance the servers populations. What we do not want, is another SWTOR, Tera, Rift, well just about any other new MMO launch where new servers are added only to have a large number of low pop servers in a month's time. Numbers are the key to any MMOs continued growth. By limiting server pops early on there is more of a chance that all servers will continue to be populated.

The biggest failure of Rift and Aion was to add many new servers on release. You lose more players in a new MMO to server decay than for actual gameplay related reasons.

How are people finding the story? I think it’s pretty epic (currently level 62 quest) I am loving how the different decisions really do make a difference as to where you go and how saying one thing can make a certain story quest harder or easier.

I like how the story is done, different choices and all that. But I don't like the story itself though. It's pretty damn generic and bland.

See I thought that about the Sylvari at first, it just seemed so incredibly petty and non-interesting, but after the first 2 segments it picked up and then the Orders got involved and it was awesome. Order of Whispers 4 lyphe. Tybalt is best character.

TP was up for about 2 hours. Def didn't buy enough Iron while it was up. I think I need about 1000 more :/

Past iron and on steel now which...still needs iron ore

and the tier 3 wood. 177 Huntsman. Gonna go be farming that today.

I know, but any other mmo would keep taking the money and just implement a queue.

Ah, so that's why I still see Iron ore in my Platinum/gold spots. I've no use for iron ore right now and have about 300, with 46 chilling in my inventory. Might turn them into Platium, but that seems kind of plentiful.

Had that with the 10 slot bags, the rune cost 4s96b.... some people sold them for less then that. Luckily i was able to use up enough of the mats i gathered due to TP lag (wait to make sure your transaction went before buying more.. and more.. and more) to make money and have plenty of mats left.

Well, I guess it's good and bad. I wound up completely outfitting myself in level 45 gear with all green weapons for probably less than 20s due to people selling shit so low. However, crafting most definitely suffers in this dynamic with stuff like Thin Blood at 3-5s a pop, needing 8 for some synths, and then not being able to sell the resulting product for 40s+. Perhaps the problem is dropped items are too close to crafts in quality, but I don't think I've ever played an MMO where crafting is top dog for outfitting. Oh well. I'm a bit into the steel phase for armor now, but I have like no t3 mod mats since I'd been running lowbie zones to completion.
