You can pick them all now if you want. It sometimes helps to do that to make sure you have a strategy of how to get to the end without using up all of the good teams first.

I tend to start trying to fill them all in about halfway through the season when I can make some educated guesses about which surprise teams are actually good, which surprise teams are terrible, and which teams probably aren't going to bother trying to win in week 17 and/or 16.

Just changed it from "Locked" to "Unlocked" if you still have time to get in for one of the afternoon or evening games. I had it set to Locked so people couldn't switch it in after week one, but didn't think about that fact that would set it to locking after the first actual game, three days before all the other games.

I'm going with the Patriots this week. I don't necessarily like to blow my wad on the best few teams early, but that's really what the best few teams are for: filling in the holes in the schedule when the good-to-mediocre teams are all lining up against each other, or against just slightly worse teams on the road.
