That's good to know. As much as my friends might disagree, I'd rather NC State stay in the ACC. Let's be honest, we're a mediocre team barely playing .500 football with a really weak SOS. I agree being in the SEC might breed more success, but those "growing pain" years would be brutal, most of our fans are already fair weather enough, and I love my matchups against FSU, Clemson, Maryland, and UNC.

Edit: That sounded pretty whiny, and I didn't mean for it to. Really, it would be a good move, but I really enjoy the current conference schedule, probably because all of my friends went to State, UNC, Maryland, or Clemson, so we have a good time going to games together etc.

That's what really stinks about all this shuffling. A lot of really good rivalries are going to die. If the SEC expands again...I'm not sure how some of the traditional rivalries in the SEC will stay intact.

Meanwhile the big 12 is considering going to 11 cuz they don't really want a title game, which would most likely mean a 10 game round robin conference schedule.

I feel like not having a title game is a mistake, revenue wise, but better chances of getting a team in the NC with the new playoff system.

    Spoiler: show
cuz even if florida gets in, ND can beat that florida team, and just imagine the fallout from that

    oh, also...

Am I the only one that liked Kelly's strategy of "freezing the kicker" by making him stand there and think about it and shit *before* they got all set up, and not giving him a chance at a practice kick or anything?

I mean, it didn't "work," as far as actually "making" him miss the kick, but considering the other strategy actually makes things worse as often as it makes them better, I'd much rather see them doing it that way in general.

I do like that better than the practice kick version.

I think Florida could beat ND. Their defense is solid and ND hasn't impressed anyone with their offense this year. I don't think UGA will lose to Tech though.

That Florida team would have one hell of a time getting any points at all against ND, I think. At least, they would if ND came out and played lights out D like they did against OU and like the 5 games before that.

All in all, I've come to the conclusion that every conference is having a down year and everybody sucks. The SEC is nowhere near good enough to be dominating the top 10 like it currently is, but I cannot make a solid argument for any of the teams outside looking in to replace them. OU is the closest and they're as flaky as ever.

oh and yeah, I doubt it, but they did just get absolutely run all over by a vastly inferior option team they scheduled specifically as like a practice scrimmage for tech

if you let tech average over 5 ypc on 60 runs, you're in some deep shit

And Tech lost to Middle Tennessee in Atlanta...

Tech is not beating Georgia. We played the better of the two option teams last Saturday.

I will admit, with Wofford, Western Carolina, Furman, Appalachian State, Samford, Citadel, and Georgia, southern pretty much did play an SEC schedule.

It has been a weird year for sure. I'm not sure if it's a "down" year for everyone or if it's just a little bit more parity across the board.

I kinda agree. It took us too long to get our passing game going, and now that it is, our defense looks bad.

Just imagine how many Baylor's K-State would have had to play with a schedule like that.

I said at the beginning of the year I didn't think anyone was untouchable. I'm still not sure if that's because everyone is good or bad...
