1 Alabama .9759
2 Kansas State .9400
3 Notre Dame .9147
4 Oregon .9136
So 3 in both polls and the computer gap is so big it's still not even close lol. Definitely looks like we should stay ahead of Oregon unless the pollsters intentionally drop us.
Although, if USC beats ND, shit gets a bit ugly.
ND actually tied us in the computers this week, bit surprised at that. Bama's half a point back.
Oh, and Florida is still ahead of Oregon in the computers lawl
WWWOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW
Marcus Lattimore released from hospital after being treated for dislocated knee.
Dunno if/when he'll play again, but holy shit is that ever some amazingly great news.
I'm guessing all of the ligaments are torn?
uh, he wouldn't be released from the hospital after being treated for dislocation if the whole rest of his knee was blown the fuck up
Ya, nothing mentioned about all his ligaments being tore, just 'injury to several'
Gonna be a long, hard road for the kid, but he's a hard worker and I think he can make it back. Whether he's the same.. I honestly doubt it, but who knows.
Long story short, it's not half as bad as what happened to his other leg last year. He basically didn't even tear anything, the extent of the ligament damage is basically just a "typical" hyper-extension, i.e. a sprain.
He may not be ready to go next year, but that's more about the quantity of injuries than severity.
That's great to hear. What a bad string of luck that kid has had. I hope everything works out for him. At least this was to the knee that he didn't hurt last year so he should be able to recover from it easier.
LSU/Bama week errybody. Don't really care much about polls/computers until this time next week.
That wasn't his kneecap where you guys thought it was, though. That was the bottom of his femur.
So, a sprain is generally torn fibers, just nothing like an actual rip across the tendons/ligaments. It sounds like there's actually quite a bit of that, and it is going to need surgery after all. There's just no full tears, which is good, but it's still nastier than I was thinking.
Also, apparently he's clinically insane, because he's saying he plans to come back to SC for another year, and to actually play football there again.
and on that note, in people making you still want to live on this planet anymore news

bout a thousand people showed up to wish him happy birthday and a good recovery
also, baylor giving up only 35 points to Iowa State lowered their overall points against by like 1ppg, and their average per game in the big 12 by 5.8 ppg
Fuck, K-State lost Tre Walker, really, really good LB, probably for the rest of the season.
So that Miami team K-State (and ND) beat the shit out of is now 5-4 with 3 of their 4 losses coming to current #2, #3, #9 in the bcs, and the 4th by 4 points to a pretty respectable North Carolina team.
Talk about rough... will be interesting to see how they finish out, they should win the last 3 and have a chance with the bowl to come out with 9 wins on a pretty strong schedule.
Thawing some andouille sausage for the big one tomorrow. RTR
