I'm well aware of rivalry games being played close (hi2u t.u.), but even Mettenberger picked apart the defense at one point.

I like how people ignore that he had the best game of his career and was practically perfect, lol, but okay. I hope he finds his way and plays like that from now on, but we'll see.

As for Mr. Football, we'll see how he plays against another good defense. 0-2 so far against UF/LSU.

Had this big long thing about how Eddie George (Lol) was all over Oregon's nuts this morning on the DP Show and how he thinks they're the real 'best team because they're proven and been challenged' but I'm not because we all know how retarded that is. I guess that's why the computers loved them.

I saw he had a great game; It was weird watching him play that well. I just think Manziel can have as good as a game as that, but like you said, he hasn't been spectacular against good defenses.

They couldn't even make it look as close as they did against auburn, even SEC offenses can embarrass this Oregon D.

^ This. If every team in the SEC has one loss, then I'd like to see Oregon/K-State, it'd be a great game. Getting to the NCG and losing would be the worst possible outcome.

I have to admit as much as I bash Oregon I'd be pretty concerned about it turning into last year's KSU/OSU game where in the end speed just barely wins... in an incredibly heartbreaking fashion.

I'd feel really confident against ND or Bama at the moment, though. I think we'd handle ND very well (which is probably going to be the Fiesta Bowl anyway, unfortunately ><), and I think we could get 1 or 2 more stops on Bama than they would us.

Yeah, the thing that scares me is that while K-State has been great on defense most of the year, OSU definitely showed that we can struggle against a strong, balanced offense.

And if there's one thing Oregon does have, it's a strong, balanced offense.

Bama does too, but I actually think we can match up with Bama's athletes outside and stack the box to have a chance to slow down the run. If Bama and K-State played at a neutral site this weekend I'd expect something like 27-20 or 24-17 K-state, with each team having a return td.

I'd expect the Sugar Bowl to go Louisville-LSU or whoever they want from SEC, but yeah if they don't that pretty much means ND went Rose and Fiesta will be LV-KSU
